“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” and “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” didn’t air on TV this year.
“A Charlie Brown Christmas,” the first Peanuts holiday special, is following suit. The popular holiday special will not air on TV again this year.
While the Halloween special “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” premiered on Oct. 27, 1966, nearly a year after “A Charlie Brown Christmas” premiered on Dec. 9, 1965, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” premiered in 1973 on CBS.
